I was in a Chinese supermarket in Marbella earlier, and was struck by the vast range of products they had on display.

Pretty much anything you could imagine, you could buy there.

And yet, I came out without buying anything.

My eyes were darting around, landing on food, toys, garments, travel accessories, household goods and god-knows-what.

Floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall, it was a smorgasbord of overwhelm.

When you’re working on your offering, messaging or even your website, know this:

You have three seconds to engage, enthrall and entrance us with your single, irresistible offer.

That’s not even long enough to SAY┬áRubik cubes, duct tape and clotheslines, let alone sell us them.
