I had a life coach commenting this week how it was hard to market the benefit of what she did.

If only I was a business coach, she continued, I could simply promise some kind of financial outcome.

Well yeah, and it’s a fair point.

People are roused and motivated by the prospect of earning more money, more easily.

And they’re more likely to pay for advice, support and yes, coaching to help them do that, compared with chasing a more wooly outcome.

So, if you’re any variety of life coach or mindset expert, don’t stop at promising to help them:

  • Get unstuck
  • Avoid burnout
  • Banish overwhelm
  • Build better relationships
  • Overcome imposter syndrome

All that stuff’s fine, but try adding a few words on the end, starting with: “So you can…”

  • Get a promotion
  • Earn more money
  • Make more profits
  • Grow your business
  • Build up some savings

And just like that, your coaching has a monetary value.
