As author Chris Brogan points out, the average human is online for one of only two reasons:
- To solve a problem, or
- Wasting time
You can make a business from serving the second of those. In fact most of what constitutes social media, online games and videos is nothing other than one gigantic waste of everyone’s time.
It’s terrifying how we seem to be no longer interested in being the earnest producers of usefulness that we once were, now we’re comatose consumers of insignificant gratifications.
Personally, I’d rather devote my life to solving people’s problems.
