You know when you built something really great?
You felt super-happy and basked in the glow of your genius for hours?
Then you posted/advertised/talked about it and nobody agreed with you?
By their silence, they told you it sucked, quite a lot.
You made the classic mistake Seth Godin reminded me about the other day:
You made it for yourself.
Better to ask your tribe for permission BEFORE you build your Next Big Thing:
- What do you want to see in this?
- What do you need it to do for you?
- What should I call it?
- How much would you pay for it?
- Would you even buy it at all?
Those tough questions could make all the difference.
Between a stratospheric launch or crash & burn.
Love you lots
