At any point in the year, it’s tempting to look back and measure how you’re doing compared with last year.

Or last month, or last week.

Trouble is, it’s a great way to limit your expectations – comparing with what you did before.

What you did before may have been mediocre, right?

It could have been just enough to get by.

It might even have dipped below what you needed to survive. 

How about comparing your performance to the best in your business?

Or, to the best you COULD be?

If you’re going to rate your current efforts, at least rate them against something worthwhile.
