When Steve Blampied led 28 of us in a Members-Only Secret Session about our values this week, one thing became clear.
We value external things higher than we value ourselves.
Our Lists Of Things That Matter included:
Money
Freedom
Family
Holidays
Success
Esteem
Respect…
…and many more.
But, until prompted, none of use considered putting “ME” anywhere on the list.
Let alone, at the top.
Of course, by the end of the session that’d been corrected.
Everyone in the group realised that self-care is the Number One value we should all subscribe to.
Put your own mask on first, as they say in those slightly alarming aircraft safety briefings.
