I’m discovering more and more the power of downtime. 

I used to think I could hustle all-day-long and get more done.

Now I realise that’s just silly, because of the therapeutic benefits of just letting your mind wander.

This is why we have light-bulb moments in the shower, or while we’re jogging.

Here’s the sciencey explanation for that. 

And if you want to try to prove it for yourself, don’t focus deeply on a task for more than 15 minutes before taking a 5-minute break to do a whole lot of nuttin’.

Go swing in the trees, drink something, meditate, run, play music…anything but the job in hand.

When you come back, you’ll be thinking more clearly, and the creativity will be flowing.
