Author James Clear talks about three simple ways to get more of what you want:

1: Be kind and pleasant to others
2: Ask for what you want
3: Follow up

In your 21st century coaching or therapy business, the first should be a given, so let’s talk about the other two.

“Asking for what you want” could mean:

Writing a clear, single call-to-action on any posts where you’re offering something
Making sure you get paid at the point someone says they want to work with you
Engaging team members with concise, goal-oriented instructions

And, “Follow-up” includes things like:

Booking the next call during the call you’re on, if you ever want to speak to them again
Responding to comments on your posts, so you get to discover more about them
‘Walking them to the door’ by sending event and call reminders after they booked

To be Clear (see what I did there?), these are not the only ways to get more of what you want.

But you won’t get much of anything if you ignore them.
