Author James Clear talks about the three levels of failure:
- Failure of vision
- Failure of strategy
- Failure of tactics
Let’s say you’re a life coach, and you decide you want to rid the world of depression. That’s your vision and you could fail if it turns out people WANT to be depressed, or don’t care if they are.
Or, if your strategy is to use NLP techniques to help people overcome depression, then you could fail at a strategic level if NLP didn’t work, or didn’t work well enough.
Similarly, your tactic to build a depression support Group on Facebook and invite people to join could fail for a number of reasons – your writing didn’t attract people, you invited the wrong audience, or maybe depressed people didn’t want to talk about it in a Facebook Group.
If your business isn’t working, ask yourself at what level.
PS: I’m about to release tickets for the first Client Attraction Summit of 2021 on the 9th January, and it’s a blockbuster, unmissable event with keynote speakers including Desislava Dobreva and Jamie Smart. If you want to get on the pre-reg list, reply with “CAS21” and I’ll make sure you’re first in line.
