Why you need to stop marketing

Whenever I ask skilled coaches, therapists or consultants what’s the biggest challenge they face in their business, the answer is the same: getting enough clients – the M-word.

Marketing.

Posting, branding, commenting, websites, profiles, eBooks, programmes, courses, proposals…etc, etc…

Aaargh…overwhelm, stress and burnout is only a hop and a skip away.

But how about if you stopped doing “marketing”, and did something else instead?

Something smarter, more intuitive, and utilising innate skills you already have…

Here are three things you could do right away, today:

  • Tell everyone you know about what you do, and ask for their help in suggesting a potential client
  • Hang out online and in the real world where your ideal customers are. Start conversations
  • Find other people who already engage with or sell to your ideal clients, and partner with them

The bombshell takeaway is simple:

Calling it “Marketing” can create a mindset of overwhelm, procrastination and inaction.

Instead, just call it “Finding The Next Person To Talk To”.

PS: If you’re going to start conversations today, you may as well start them with HR leaders and business owners who need you help with corporate wellbeing. Wanna find out how to do that?

Reply to this email with “Conversations” and I’ll send you a pack of templates for messages to send them!
