Here’s a great guide from Eric Barker on how to make the most of your holiday (“vacation” for you American types):Â
1: Anticipate: Book early so the build-up lasts as long as possible
2: Optimise: Mid-length holidays from 3-6 days give the most happiness
3: Schedule: Fill the time with fun and activity
4: Enjoy: Savour each moment away. Don’t wish for it to be over, and stay away from phones
5: Peak: Try and end on a high-note, as that’s what sticks in the memory
6: Reminisce: Revisiting the holiday with the person(s) you shared it with will make you happy
Isn’t it great there’s even a right and wrong way to vacation?
Love you lots
Jonny
PS: Would you like to meet a bunch of HR and people professionals, and be able to open conversations with them about your wellbeing coaching and consulting work?Â
I might have an idea for you.
